The PICNIC08 team will grow to full strength in the coming months. At the moment, we have some exciting roles for interns that we wish to fill ASAP. Feel free to pass on this information to any qualified candidate.
We’re looking to add three interns to our team
• Programme Assistant. Tasks involve researching specific session topics; maintaining an overview of sessions and invited/confirmed speakers for the PICNIC Conference, Labs and Specials; keeping minutes of partner meetings; and maintaining an overview of tasks per session/project. Needed: Someone meticulous with good writing skills in Dutch and English. A team player, ideally with a clear interest in the topics at hand. Undertaking research during the internship is possible.
• Marketing Assistant. You’ll support the Marketing Director with a variety of tasks, including liaising with our international network of media and marketing partners. Needed: Someone meticulous with good writing and speaking skills in Dutch and English. A team player, ideally with some experience in online marketing. Independent development of a specific marketing activity is possible.
• Webmaster. We need a skilled webmaster to assist the marketing and programme teams with updating the website. This will include keeping the PICNIC Network alive and creating and integrating new options for interaction and promotion.
All interns receive the standard Dutch internship fee. Interns must hold a valid EU passport and arrange their own accommodation in Amsterdam.
Volunteers.
For the entire PICNIC Week, 23-27 September, we are putting together a team of volunteers for tasks such as preparing conference bags, picking up speakers at the airport, assisting with registration and guiding delegates at the venue. English language skills are a must, as is a cheery disposition!
All interns and volunteers will get to participate in a selection of PICNIC events.
